Commissioner Thomas Frederick 
Commissioner Thomas J. Frederick received his Juris Doctroate degree from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, at Louisiana State University, in 1989. He served as law clerk for the Honorable Durwood W. Conque from 1989 until 1991 when he entered into the private practice of law in Abbeville, Louisiana. Commissioner Frederick maintained a solo practice in Abbeville until his appointment to the bench in June 2002. From March 1991 until October 2001, he served as staff attorney with the 15th Judicial District Court's Indigent Defender's Board, serving Vermilion Parish. From October 2001, until his appointment in 2002, he served as an assistant District Attorney in Lafayette Parish. Commissioner Frederick is a graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now U.L. Lafayette) and is a member of the Vermilion Parish, Lafayette Parish and Louisiana State Bar Associations.
