Judge Angie Wagar is a lifelong resident of Acadia Parish. She graduated from Rayne High School in 1986 then attended USL, earning her bachelor’s degree in Finance in 1990. In 1993 she earned her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in New Orleans.

After passing the Bar, she began practicing law in Crowley, and she became an Assistant District Attorney in 1995 and Rayne City Prosecutor in 1997. She retired from these positions upon being elected judge in February 2026.
